This past summer, Rocky Mountain Snow Guards teamed up with Josh Yandle and Trevor Cannon with Umbrella Roofing (Carbondale, CO) to design a beautiful snow guard system on Buckhorn Townhomes in Beaver Creek, CO for their new DaVinci Roofscapes, LLC roof. After many months of planning and design process for these roofs, including multiple site visits, the project will be completed in three phases, the first being completed in October of 2013. The Buckhorn Townhomes complex comprise a large amount of the Bachelor Gulch area of Beaver Creek. Bachelor Gulch is the uber-luxury 'resort within resort' part of the Beaver Creek Ski Area and is anchored by The Ritz Carlton Hotel and Residences right next door. Bachelor Gulch has an extremely efficient and strict HOA policy and Design Review Board that oversees any project occurring within it's boundaries in order to help maintain a certain sense of place and design standard for the area. After the initial proposals they decided on the DaVinci Classic Shake product for it's ability to stand the test of time and maintain, if not enhancing the structures undeniable beauty in it's natural wooded setting.

Rocky Mountain Snow Guards was involved with the process from the very beginning, meeting with the HOA, contractors and designers in a very hands-on approach. They decided that use of the L83.4 Bolt Down Snow Fence and ST18 Aluminum Dark Bronze Snow Guards would be the perfect compliment to this project and create a safe environment for guests as they visit this winter wonderland. This project showcases our ability here at Rocky Mountain Snow Guards to design systems based not only on the need of an effective snow retention solution, but also to add to the overall beauty of the project ensuring it does not interfere with the visual appeal of these spectacular residences and surrounding environs.
